Nao: Despite stating that the filename is Footnotes-1.07.zip, when you click on the Download button, it asks you to save Footnotes-1.06.zip instead.

Just wanted to bring this to your attention in case it's an AeMe bug/issue.  You can delete this once you've read it.  ;)

It shows 1.07 in the filename to me...
Well, it'll show 1.08 soon enough, because I'm fixing a last-minute bug!
(Multiple footnotes in a single message were broken.)

Thanks, Boss!  1.08 downloaded just fine.  Maybe it was another issue with your server...??  Moot point now.  :)

Hello

Just discovered Avea when looking for something to put videos on my SMF site and I also discovered Footnotes. As an inveterate footnoter in my daily writing I am thrilled to find such a tool to use on my forum. However, I haven't managed to get it to work. It installed okay (after I created a temp directory in the Packages folder), but it doesn't recognise the nb tags and no nb button shows up in the editor when posting a reply. I am using a customised version of the Silentwave theme, and the theme's folder doesn't have ANY of the style.css or Post.template.php files, etc. So, before I begin hacking files that I don't need to hack, can you give an indication of what files I need and where? Incidentally, the style.css in /Themes/default/ doesn't seem to have any of the changes in it that the installer should have made, which is puzzling.

I'm using SMF 1.1.11

Thanks! :-)

I don't know, I haven't used SMF1 in years you know ;)
Even SMF2 -- not using it much either.

If you're serious about tools for power users/power posters, I'd recommend you check out the feature list at http://wedge.org :P
